Job Description:

We're building a modern commerce suite for messaging. An all-in-one solution that allows our brands to talk and transact with their customers in the same place. Whym.tech Who Are You: We're looking for a player-coach to come in and assume responsibility for the sales function of the company; developing the sales process, driving sales directly and building the team to execute it. We operate at an extremely fast pace and will expect the same from you. This position will require your full attention & constant communication with our team. The VP of Sales directs, supports, and administers the selling of Whym's software product. The role includes the planning, implementation, and control of sales programs, as well as recruiting, training, motivating, monitoring, and evaluating sales team members. The fundamental role of the VP of Sales is to develop and administer a selling program that will consistently deliver the growth objectives of the company as well as client retention goals. Requirements:

  • 10+ years professional work experience in B2B sales
  • 5+ years of B2B Enterprise SaaS sales experience preferably in conversational commerce and/or Fintech
  • Experience working at a Seed to Series A stage startup
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Masters degree preferred or bachelor's degree and equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Familiarity with CRM systems -- Close.io, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc. Intangibles:

      • Experience, hunger and the ability to thrive with the speed of start-up
      • Experience building and managing sales teams with 5-10 quota carrying reps
      • Proven ability selling technology enabled solutions to Director and C-level individuals
      • Proven track record in new client development / customer acquisition
      • Demonstrated experience researching, cold calling, and networking with prospective buyers
      • Ability to develop strategic partnerships with complementary software vendors
      • Develop presentation materials and leads sales calls
      • Report weekly on health of the pipeline, wins/loss and progress against goals
      • Update and manage pipeline and prepare revenue forecasts
      • Maintain relationships to continue to deliver on customer satisfaction via support team
      • Provide product, messaging and service feedback based on input from customers and prospective buyers The next 12 months:
        • Drive Mid-Market & Enterprise SaaS sales with target customers across a range of verticals
        • Generate a pipeline of new business from the ground up
        • Build and manage a sales team
        • Develop and optimize an efficient and scalable sales process
        • This role is responsible for driving net new business
        • Work with founders to develop the overall sales strategy
