Position Description Job Summary PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The primary function of the Maintenance Electrician is to properly maintain all electrical systems in the plant including the production line, associated process machines/equipment, and building/facility equipment. Responsibilities include trouble-shooting pneumatics, electronics to the component level, and work on PLC ladder logic. Also, must work with thermocouples, RTD's, various types of level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells, and other high-tech devices. Will possess a thorough understanding and hands on experience with electrical & electronics maintenance principals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with requirements surrounding plant maintenance activities. * Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics, and wire control panels. * PLC troubleshooting, repair, and programming experience required. * Will participate in training, craft skill improvements and department safety topics. * Follow all safety precautions while performing tasks at all times. Along with preforming fire response responsibilities. Required Qualifications KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES): Technical or Two-year Associates Degree required. A combination of High School Diploma or GED plus equivalent work experience will be considered. Candidate must demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge, A/C and 3 phase circuits, & instrumentation knowledge and skills. .
