We offer commercial real estate underwriting, acquisition due diligence, asset management, zoning, loan closing, and insurance review services. Our team strives to create and deliver a unique, client-focused experience.Job Purpose The Environmental Professional Conducts Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). The role will be responsible for interviewing property contacts, municipal agencies, vendors and other persons familiar with the subject property to gather information relevant to completion of ASTM 1527-13 ESA, or client specific scope of work. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently research municipal records, local, state and federal resources and files relevant to the subject property.
  • Conducts walk-through surveys to assess environmental issues considered to be Recognized Environmental Concerns (REC).
  • Gathers and analyzes samples needed to identify issues which may require remediation.
  • Prepares written reports summarizing findings, explaining and quantifying effects and proposing recommendations.
  • Addresses client questions and comments regarding the report. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university with major in engineering, geology or science required
    • 3 years' experience completing or managing Phase I ESAs (experience in lieu of these qualifications may be considered if they meet our client's requirements).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customer.
    • Ability to effectively present information.
    • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience as an asbestos, lead-based paint, radon or mold inspector preferred.
      • CEP (Certified Environmental Professional). Licensed Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist a plus.
      • Experience with the online ESA writing platform PARCEL a plus. Critical Competencies
        • Strong ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
        • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills in order to assess impact of property condition.
        • Familiar with the basic principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including construction and maintenance of structures and systems.
        • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
        • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
        • Highly effective project management and time management skills. Working conditions This position works in an office environment with some travel required. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. The location for the full-time salary position is in our Troy, MO office.
