Overview Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Clinician (Outpatient) to work at our Hillsboro, MO location servicing the Jefferson County, MO area. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois. We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. Please note to be considered for a position you must attach a resume, complete the application, and answer all screening questions. Responsibilities Complete required data entry and paperwork in accordance with program and agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to opening requirements, assessments, treatment/recovery plans, progress notes, insurance treatment authorizations and any other funder requirements: 100% of assessments and treatment/recovery plans to be completed to guide recovery; progress notes and any other required data entry or paperwork submitted within forty-eight hours of the delivery of the service. Provide substance use and mental health services to youth and adults, identified in treatment/recovery/safety plan that are consumer driven and meet the program requirements, including maintaining an assigned minimum service level, especially focusing on individual, group and family therapy, skills and educational groups. Promote the recovery model of treatment including harm-reduction, trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness by assisting consumers with regaining control over their own lives through self-directed recovery; including utilizing recovery language in all applicable documentation. Provide for referral, linkage and advocacy to recommended community resources, for mental health and substance use needs and additional family needs. Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and the community, especially family members, probation officers, and court and school personnel, to sustain a favorable program reputation and coordinate care. Attend meetings and consumer staffings, participate in program development activities and provide support and backup to other team members as necessary, including: Attending all mandatory Chestnut trainings and completion of CEUs, utilizing Relias, when applicable. Offer supervision, including licensure supervision, to assigned staff. Provide services in the community when needed. Demonstrate skill building in evidence based practices such as trauma-informed care (TIC), development stages, Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), Adolescent CRA, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). Assume a leadership role on a regular basis, act as a peer leader, provide clinical guidance and be a project manager when assigned. . Promote Chestnut---s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut---s behavioral standards for customer service. Maintain and protect confidentiality of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and consumer information. Provide other duties as assigned, required or specifically negotiated with supervisor. Qualifications Must have a master---s degree in social work (MSW) with a provisional MO license of Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) or a master---s degree in counseling with a provisional MO license of Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). Must obtain a MO LCSW or LPC within two (2) years from hire date. CADC in MO is preferred. Must have a valid driver---s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable. Requires basic computer skills and experience using Zoom, MS Word, Outlook and and electronic medical record (EMR.) Satisfactory completion of Chestnut---s background checking process.
