Department: OperationsReports to: SupervisorEmployment Status - Full time: Part-time: cTemporary: cContract: cJob Summary:Responsible for the assembly and installation of customer specified products into commercial/fleet vehicles. Essential Functions: Sub-assembly or pre-assembly of steel cabinets, partitions, ladder racks and other related items in an area adjacent to the assembly line Installation of sub-assembledor purchased items into commercial vans Installation/wiring electrical components including, but not limited to alarms, telephone systems, DVD systems, auxiliary lighting, inverters Pre-assemblyof electrical components and/or wiring harnesses Pre-assembly of items to be stowed for shipping Clean-up and repair of completed vehicles Maintain reasonable production standards for sub-assembly and line assignments Maintain quality standards Maintain a safe plant environment; practice good housekeeping in work areasJob Skills: Follow wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical installations Build and install cabinets, partitions, ladder racks and other related items into vehicles using hand and power tools Match VPO s and Bills of Material to vehicles using VIN# Complete necessary forms and or paperwork as required Verbal and written communication skills Reading and math skills Continuous standing, walking and kneeling.Ability to lift or move typically 20-50 lbs Other physical demands stooping, bending, kneeling, handling, squatting, twisting, climbing, etc.Use hands and fingers to grasp, move or assemble various sized objects Use hand-held power tools such as air drills, impact guns, ratchets and pop rivet guns Valid driver s licenserequired to operate a motor vehicle Ability to work overtime on short noticeQualifications: Ability to read blue prints, tape measures, and calibrated measuring tools Sufficient math skills to calculate / convert decimals and fractions as recorded on drawingsPandoLogic.
