with Mercy Therapy in Washington, MO and is a combination of
inpatient and outpatient.
Overview: Under the direction of the Therapy Supervisor and/or the
Manager of Rehabilitation, the Physical Therapist provides
appropriate treatment to individuals with neuromusculoskeletal
dysfunctions in order to achieve maximum functional potential.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with
our mission, values and mercy service standards. This position may
float between all facilities and may do so to more than 1 location
on any given day based on the department and patient needs to
include IP and OP services. Participates in weekend and holiday
rotation. All patient age and populations served. Safety/Risk
Management: a. Infection control.
b. Patient's rights protection.
c. Fall prevention.
d. Maintains safe workplace.
e. Properly uses, stores and transports all medical gas
equipment.
Coordination of Services:
a. Documentation.
b. Facilitate the therapy process.
c. Delegation.
d. Charge management.
e. Scheduling.
f. Decision-making support.
g. Quality management.
h. Coordination of care with team. Primary Aspects:
a. Patient/family teaching.
b. Implementation of plan of care.
c. Professional growth and development.
d. Team performance.
e. Departmental participation.
f. Miscellaneous tasks/ other duties as assigned.
Complex Aspects:
a. Create plan of care.
b. Discharge planning.
c. Student management.
Communication Management:
a. Customer service/guest relations.
b. Telephone management.
c. Positive interdisciplinary communication. Technology:
a. Equipment management.
b. Computer management.
Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree required.
Licensure : Must be licensed with the State of Missouri.
Preferred Experience: Preferred Minimum of at least 1 year
experience with preferred experience in both acute care and OP
services
