Job Description:

RN/LPN InstructorPart-timeSedalia, MOOn an as-needed basis, works in the Human Resources Department by performing the following duties.RN with Bachelors Degree (4 years) plus 5 years of related work experience, or RN Associates Degree (3 years) plus 5 years related experience, or LPN license (2 years) plus 6 years related experience.Of the 5 years minimum experience required: must have one (1) year'Es experience working in a long-term care facility licensed by the DHSS; and or residential facility or day program operated, funded, licensed, or certified by the Department of Mental Health within the past five (5) years, or an instructor of a Health Occupation Program. (This may include instruction of medication administration courses.)The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.TASKSHuman Resources duties.Confers with the Training Coordinator to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies procedures, regulations, and technologies.Maintains and submits all pertinent paperwork related to the Tuberculosis (TB) assessments.Confers with the HR Specialist on TB issues and recommends policy changes, as needed.Confers with HR Specialist on HBV issues and recommends policy changes, as needed.Training duties.Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops, as regulated by state legislation.Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as Medication Administration, Insulin Administration, Infectious Disease Control, Seizure Care, Personal Care, and any others as assigned.Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.Maintains and submits accurate records of class attendance.Reports on the progress of employees under guidance during training periods.Miscellaneous duties.Responsible for knowledge and implementation of agency and departmental policies and procedures.Presents a positive attitude and demeanor when working with co-workers, administrative staff, supervisors, and/or other agencies.Determines when independent, mature judgment decisions are appropriate and when consultation with the supervisor is necessary.Accepts and willingly carries out special assignments or duties, when requested.Respects the rights of all individuals served.Projects a positive image of CHS and individuals served to the local community.Assures the confidentiality of information regarding individuals served.Utilizes the UKG Ready system to clock in and out and transfer time correctly. If errors happen employees are required to utilize the 'Time Change Request'A option in UKG Ready to request corrections to their punch or time-off entries.Staff will understand and appropriately respond to the unique combination of cultural variables through an ongoing emphasis on Cultural Competency and training as defined by the CHS Cultural Competency plan.by Jobble
