Job Description:
The NAM Smart Automation Program Manager is a strategic
professional who stays abreast of capabilities and contributes to
directional strategy. This is a program lead position responsible
for accomplishing results through collaboration across internal and
external teams. Responsible for the planning, coordination and
delivery of assigned technical programs or projects within the
Automation Solutions group, NAM Smart Automation department using a
team of professionals primarily using Workflow Manager tools.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order
to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues
in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant
impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice
and counsel related to the technology and/or operations of the
business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the
overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job
family.Responsibilities:
- Drives automation and digital product delivery across multiple
products and functions, including workflow manager planning design
and execution.
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day
program activities by creating and maintaining detailed project
plans, coordinating tasks and ensuring proper task completion
- Evaluate effectiveness of automation/digitization capabilities
to strengthen controls, drive process efficiencies, improve
customer experience, and reduce operational losses
- Liaises with process owners, SME's and CBORC to identify
automation opportunities
- Oversees program to ensure plans meet business needs as
described in the program initiation documents.
- Escalates program risks to the Program Sponsor when
appropriate, and proactively manages client communications and
expectations to ensure client satisfaction in partnership with
internal teams
- Makes recommendations for training and development needs for
assigned personnel.
- Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations
for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel
actions.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to
defining standards.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Resource and Team Management:
- Coordinate resource planning along with group manager to ensure
project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and
deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
- Manage contractors from external vendors and serve as advisor
or coach to Junior to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating
work as necessaryQualifications:
- 5-10 years of strategic program management experience in
finance/banking with strong understanding of core businesses and
operational processes
- Experience with various automation, digitization and workflow
tools
- Knowledge of technology systems and/or programming is a plus
e.g., Python
- Detail oriented problem-solver with a commitment to quality and
serving our clients
- Project Management certifications and/or experience with
Process Reengineering, Six Sigma, LEAN is a plus
- Collaborate with internal and external parties
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and writtenEducation:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding across the breadth of commercially used
information technology and development platforms (client-server,
web based and mobile). Strong knowledge of
- SharePoint (WSS & MOSS or SharePoint 2013, 2019 and Power
Automate)
- Workflow tools such as Appian, Power Automate etc
- Enterprise Content Management
- Knowledge Management
- .NET, C#, JavaScript
- Experience with Project Management tools and methodologies is
required. Certification in Project management is a plus. Very good
working experience of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and MS
project (or comparable project management tools).
- Very good understanding of Software Engineering, Full life
cycle experience developing medium to large-scale
