In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Securities Based Lending Product Manager will be responsible for supporting and delivering strategic lending initiatives for the firm. This product manager will partner across the organization to develop new products and solutions and drive their adoption. The product manager will also support margin and existing securities based lending capabilities.

The Banking Business Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality saving, spending, and borrowing solutions, tools and experiences that serve advisor and client needs and are fully integrated with the firm's strategic vision.

From designing product features and controls to working with our communications and technical delivery teams, your work will impact potentially all 7 million+ clients and branch teams. Responsibility Summary:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners in the development, delivery, and enhancement of the firm's securities-based lending products to ensure branch teams have quality products, tools and the support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.Participate in the design, development and management of innovative securities-based lending solutions and tools that align with firm advice and guidance, are simple/easy to use, and are competitive with other options available in the marketplace. Gather data and insights and conduct analysis needed to inform product strategy and development. Participate in the development of an informed perspective for what the Edward Jones product experience should be; recommend and support the tangible recommendations for achieving that experience.Responsible for working with internal and external partners to plan, design and deliver lending experience products, tools, and services.
Manage and maintain the portfolio of products including making recommendations to add, remove, or change products/offerings. Regularly engage in vendor partner relationships of significant size, impact and criticality to the client and branch experience.Contribute to shaping and driving the execution of business plans that align with the firm's strategic directionEnsure that product marketing and change management support is effective, aligned with key firm messages, and compliant. Assist in the design of efficient and effective ongoing processes and controls.Ensure that client and branch team service support is effective and resolve issues as neededCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate lending solutions and tools into existing client and branch systems, creating an efficient and frictionless experience for clients and branch teamsResolve product related issues as escalated. Determine root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurrences.Identify root cause and offer efficient, effective, and innovative solutions to product challengesRegularly interface with product partners and peer contacts (Eg. product managers, sales support coordinators, and operational managers)Serve as a subject matter expert for the lending product line for the firm. Includes broad and some advanced knowledge of securities-based lending products, features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.Develop an understanding of the rules and potential rule changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line; help shape the firm position with respect to tax, legal and regulatory issues for these products/programs. This will include developing appropriate controls for identified risks and potential conflicts of interest.Participate in or lead certain additional responsibilities specific to the team or area (Eg. training, product partner coordination).Participate in broad division, firm, or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy (Eg. cross-divisional projects, internal committees, regional events, industry groups, etc.).Qualifications Required in the Job:
Bachelor's degree required; progress toward advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) ideal but not required6+ years of relevant experience required; Notably in Product Development, Product Management, Client Experience Strategy preferred.Series 7, 66 required within 12 months of hire Desired Experience, but not required:Financial Services experienceExperience in securities-based lending and/or credit productsVendor management experience
