In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Within Edward Jones Canada, we are rebuilding our digital platforms as we shift from home grown tools and systems to a paradigm where we will partner with leading Fintech vendors to build an integrated platform that can deliver the experience Canadian clients should expect when seeking Wealth Management advice. The Director, Canadian Digital Portfolio, in partnership with the Director, Technology is responsible for the development of the strategy to enable this shift. This role will also need to develop and staff a resource plan designed to build, maintain and enhance our new digital platforms. The responsibility will span across the digital experience for clients, advisors and operations. Lastly, this leader, in conjunction with other leaders will help to prioritize and sequence initiatives that help to enhance the impact that our Financial Advisors strive to have on the lives of our clients and their families.

Responsibility Summary:

Develop the future vision, strategy, target operating model and roadmap for the advisor, operations and client experience in partnership with technology, clearly articulating the need and value for bringing in new innovative technology capabilities to the organization
Ensure customer-driven and advisor-driven design using market & industry knowledge as well as continuous research to deliver a well-positioned target operating model and product to drive growth and ROI
Define clear outcomes and goals for each initiative with associated KPIs/Metrics to ensure success and alignment with the overall vision and strategy; define the What and the Why as part of problem discovery.
Understands and keeps up to date with emerging technologies, trends and innovative solutions, especially in the digital wealth advice space.
Drive organizational business evolution and technology innovation through a deep understanding of the Fintech landscape and industry leading practices for technology product development.
Apply knowledge of Edward Jones branch processes, client journeys, investments, and operational workflows to influence strategy and decisions across multiple stakeholders in various Firm divisions.
Lead and assist others in the management of business, system, and regulatory risks to ensure we are prepared for the future.
Lead a team of Digital Product Managers in the Agile development, refinement, and communication of product roadmaps that deliver value/outcomes in short cycles, working in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience within Wealth Management, with recent experience focused on Technology or Digital Platforms.
  • University degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience building and leading high performing teams. Successful track record of bringing new products to market across various platforms mobile, web, etc.Demonstrated ability to communicate with and develop effective and collaborative relationships across the organization in pursuit of corporate goals.Experience leading geographically dispersed multi-cultural teams within a complex organization.Well-versed in establishing, monitoring, and executing plans and metrics.Must be able to navigate highly complex issues in a dynamic, matrixed environment requiring influence and demonstrated management of differing views from multiple stakeholders.
