During the internship the goal is to build upon your educational knowledge and develop the skills and experience needed to be successful in all aspects of the Engineering team's processes. The ideal candidate will have a GPA of 2.5 or higher with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform field walks with Management to assess assigned projectsResearch existing records including property data and utility records for drafting purposesParticipate in meetings held between Engineering and Construction teamsCreate and communicate permit packages, generating application paperwork for permit agenciesAssist in the maintaining of the GIS databaseUtilize spatial data to help analyze and estimate project costsAssist in completing finished designs from sketches providedUses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software to develop designsAssist in loading and transferring GIS data between different systemsDevelop overall knowledge of daily duties and responsibilities of an engineer in our workplacePerform other position duties when requestedSUCCESS FACTORS:A strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectationAlignment with company mission, vision, and valuesA high level of customer centricityStrong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitudeStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersAbility to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsA high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsAbility to be organized, problem solve, and be solution orientedSelf-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsLeadership skills- ability to lead and motivate a team to meet project goalsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)WORK ENVIRONMENT:Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsiteWhen working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Actively enrolled in College Courses2.5 or higher GPA requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredADB Companies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
