Edward Jones is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as an FP&A Department Leader on the Financial Planning and Analysis team within the Finance Division. Responsibilities include supporting a finance team whose primary role is to help business areas articulate quantitative economic outcomes of work and help senior decision makers allocate investment across a variety of teams, projects, and efforts consistently.Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage relationships with key partners across the organization to clarify desired management outcomes and deliver business value. Serve as a trusted partner to the areas you support.Delivers results through a high performing team. Ensures an inclusive and healthy team environment, motivating finance professionals and providing guidance on objectives, role clarity, and development opportunities.Collaborate with functional stakeholders to support and evolve annual and multi-year planning and outlooking processes, leveraging best-practices to drive continuous improvement.Help business partners across the firm understand the financial and economic impact of business decisions by performing ad-hoc and scenario analysis. Proactively identify and direct analysis to address business opportunities.Create and improve functional level dashboards with key performance indicators, financial drivers, and insights to support functional and enterprise partners.Deliver value-added, action-oriented analysis and recommendations, translating information, trends, and data into usable insights for functional business partners.Lead finance-centric and cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional or firm-wide business objectives, representing the finance perspective in discussions.Work effectively in a matrixed finance organization and across the broader enterprise. Identify and coordinate resources (people, systems, tools) not in your immediate hierarchy.Effectively communicate recommendations and complex analysis into easily digestible materials for varied audiences, including executive level groups and leaders.Contributes to vision, mission, and strategy setting, connecting annual outcomes with long-term direction. Communicates to and involves team.Develop self, team, and senior leaders across the firm on financial and analytical concepts and best practices.Education Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or AnalyticsRelevant work experience will be consideredMBA or advanced degree or certification is requiredYears Work Experience: 8+Depth of Knowledge Consulting and/or corporate fp&a experience is required.Financial Services industry experience is a plus.Functional/Technical Qualifications Strong ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply advanced financial and analytical techniquesAbility to conduct complex financial analyses, forecasts, and general modelling are required.Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as the position will be responsible for clearly articulating analyses and recommendations to senior leaders and colleagues.100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in 2022, published Fortune July 2022, Great Places to Work - data as of March 2022.
