• Four (4) year business degree in accounting and/or related field
• Two (2) - four (4) years' experience in accounting and/or related field
• Work related experience in areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Management
• Two (2) + years' experience preparing monthly financial statements
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP") and financial statement presentation
• Prior experience with accounting software and financial analytics software
• Familiarity with Windows-based computer operating systems and software
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Experience with documenting and flowcharting accounting and financial processes
• Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Forecasting and budgeting experience
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to professionally communicate at all levels of the business with strong diplomacy skills
• Ability to embrace change, support multiple groups at one time, work well in a team environment with positive energy, and adhere to US Tool Group's core values A typical day may look like this:
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner as assigned by the Finance Manager
  • Create and communicate results of income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
  • Assist with development and design of a variety of financial reports within corporate accounting software
  • Support month-end and year-end close for both general ledger and subledgers, as necessary
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, as necessary
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports for audit and complete auditors supplemental reporting requests periodically
  • Assist with daily duties in other areas of the accounting department from time to time, as necessary
